I decided to start this year by presenting you this pastry called Belle de Cassis from Le Lautrec. A famous chocolate and macarons shop in Clermont-Ferrand.
A delicious entremet made from a coulis of blackcurrant and dice of raspberries, wrapped in a biscuit and a voluptuous cream vanilla-violet. It is an individual cake available in large format for 6/8 people. It is a delicious dessert both light and fruity. You can discover its taste by going to a shop of the chocolate factory Le Lautrec in the center of Clermont-ferrand or 4 others shop in Auvergne.
But be careful! You will risk cracking on their other entremets all as wonderful! Let yourself be tempted by a sweet break in one of their point of sale.
You can also discover their macaroons, with over 25 different flavors which you will have a hard time deciding ... but don’t worry, you will not be disappointed by any.
In my next article, I would tell you about the second cake that you surely noticed on the picture. A delicious pistachio / raspberry dessert.
I recently took a chance to taste the best cookies in Paris. Yeah I know some of you might be thinking that I'm joking xx. But seriously this isn't joke at all. A version of generous cookies with a crispy in the edges and melted in the middle. A perfect "mood booster" to start the day.
The shop is "Scoop Me a Cookies" located in Batignolles (Paris 17th) and Crespin (Paris 11th) areas. We can see the preparation of their cookies in live at their shop and the smells take all over the space. Their tender and generous cookies are cooked all day long depending on the demand. The result is a warm and fresh cookies that came out of the oven each time. If the cookies remain the next day, they will offered in the morning at the lowest price.
They have a different types of flavours, basic, chocolate and green tea. And of course.. the topping that will make you taste all of it! For example, they have a coconut, banana, orange, pecan, hazelnut, bretzel, kinder maxi etc.
What I ♡ : Green tea and milk chocolate cookie, the chef's favorite too!
The Price : 4,20€ for one cookie it's expensive but the size and the taste is worth it!

If you have any plan to visit Bordeaux, the city of wine, don't forget to try the best chouquette situated on rue de la Vielle Tour. A small shop in the heart of the town decorated with a typical a sea ambience, and you can see the fabrication in the small windows where all their secret is made every single day. Especially, you can smell their chouquette just out of the oven. It's terrible! Makes you want to stay for longer.
Their crunched chouquettes covered sugar with a fine crunch and light creamy vanilla cream make you want to eat more that one. It sounded so simple but trust me, there is something miraculous in their cream. It must be said that these sweet mouth snacks make completely addict. For dessert, to accompany a coffee or with a tea : their chouquette are enjoyed at all hours!
What I ♡: The famous light vanilla cream.
The price : 0,80€ a reasonable price for what you eat.

The title of "Meilleur Ouvrier de France" (the best worker in France) Maison de Georges Larnicol, attracted me when I was walking around Libourne, south west of France. With their attractive and unique creation of chocolate at their showcase, make me want to try one.
Tempted by the famous kouignettes of the House Larnicol, I made some purchases in this shop with varied choices. First, Grand Kouign Amann, Kouignettes Pistache and Macarons.
For the Kouign Amann and Kouignettes Pistache, it is true that they are soft and crisp, but they are still a little greasy, hyper sweet. Calories without any pleasure !!
I tested the macaroons, it is not their specialty but ... too sweet, the taste of almond dominates and I didn't feel the scents of macaroons. It was lack of punch. The other brands have accustomed us to decadence, but these remain subtle and the tastes are very natural. No matter the perfume chosen, the almond is highlighted. I expected much better for a better worker from France.
To taste with a coffee, why not, but the next time I want a real gluttony, I will go back to the kouignettes.
What I ♡: Their creation of chocolate, unique and eye-catching.
The price : The price seems affordable for "The better worker in France" but as nothing is up to it finally becomes very expensive.

Vichy famous for their
thermal spa waters, but when you walk around in the heart of the city, you can discover
a pastry and chocolate shop named Le Sofilia – J.P. Bardet.
Large selections of
beautiful cakes that make you want to go fill the belly (even when you're not
hungry). At first glance, the place looked cozy, there are tearoom and a large
terrace in front of the shop that will make you forget as time goes by. But when
you get in, the waitresses weren't friendly, the old decor and the lack of
space in the corner leaves something to be desired.
For the cake, I chose
a "Délice Framboises". A delicious mousse of raspberry and blackcurrant
placed on one a confectioner's custard padded between 2 layers of thin crust. A
delicious touch of blackcurrant acidity in the sweetness of the pastry cream.
And the second one is
“Sofilia”, it is the cake which is quite obviously seen in the showcase. A half sphere covered with a soft pink mousse / glaze, topped
with a small macaroon. A sweet patisserie that seems so light. Inside is a
vanilla mousse filled with a strawberry compote.
Two patisserie, an
espresso, a hot chocolate and you exceed the 15 euros.
What I ♡ : For a break tea or coffee or
at the time of the snack it is excellent. The pastries are superb, there are plenty of choices and they are very
good and very well presented.
The Price : The prices are high but justified.
A tip : Buy the pastries but do not consume them on the spot.
