Best short gateway: Belitung, Indonesia

There’s one place I’ve been that has made me want to stay indefinitely, it’s Belitung, Indonesia. This tiny quiet island took my heart last summer with everything about food, beach, waves, rocks, etc. 

The best beach for someone who like calm and blue water with a big rocks that you can jump in the middle of the ocean. I should admit that this is my favourite place to stay out from the crowd and do nothing.

WHERE TO STAY

If you want to stay in the front of the most beautiful beach in the Belitung, I suggest you stay in the Low IN Hotel & Resort.  This hotel far away from the city, but very close to the most famous beach wih their big stones. You can enjoy the view and the sea breeze in front of your room. The pool is great as you can get a good view of the beach and the sunset in the same time. The staff is good and they serve a wide variety of local food.

WHERE TO LAY OUT

Tanjung Tinggi Beach

Crystal clear warm water, white sands, quiet surrounding, magnificent granite rocks, and lovely locals. Its a perfect place which makes you feel like swimming in paradise.


Lengkuas Island

Beautiful Island with white sands, blue water and lighthouse. You need to book a boat to go there, it take 30-40 minutes depend on the weather. The area was snorkelling favorite and not too crowded. 


 Batu Berlayar Island

The island isn't too big, but full with huge stones. Not many visitors at there cause it's hard to reach the coastline.

Good to know

To get around in this tiny island, you can rent a car or motorcycle or take Taxi. You need to be careful when you choose a taxi without licence that operated by local drivers, because they will charge you a lot more.
